Not sure if 'Study' is the right word...Pretty much what I did is I attempted to mimic Mr. Jackson's 
Art style. And while I didn't come close to his level of skill and finesse, I will say that it did help improve my drawing ability noticeably (if you discount the bottom left two...they didn't turn out so well).
Sketches based off the works of. Check him and his awesome comics out, just keep in mind that some of his work is NSFW (Not that I'm complaining).
